$9.19 Million Sales Surge At Hope Island Resort
History has virtually repeated itself at Hope Island Resort
this month with 16 waterfront homesites selling out in a
little over a week for a total of $9.19 million.
The sales surge follows on from the one day sellout of
18 prime waterfront lots for $10.22 million in May this
year.
Marketing manager David Small said the most recent run
of sales took slightly longer than the one day sellout,
but the end result was virtually the same and all the blocks
are now sold.
The land is located only metres from the Hope Island Resort
golf clubhouse and was priced from $385,000 to $690,000.
All homesites face east and only one bridge, with a 3.5
metre clearance, separates the land from the Hope Island
Resort marina basin and the Coomera River.
“It was extremely good value and this is evidenced
by the fact that the majority of purchasers were locals,
with a mix of Brisbane residents, and virtually all of
them plan to build their own homes on the land and life
there,” he said.
“With the cheaper blocks purchasers will be able
to create a brand new waterfront home for under $1 million
including land which is unheard of in today’s environment.
“
They are perfect homesites for people with a sports cruiser
or non-masted vessel who want to live in a resort environment
and enjoy all the benefits and privileges that such living
provides.”
Mr Small said the allotments ranged in size from 624 square
metres to 892 square metres. One purchaser took four allotments
and plans to build homes on them for sale and investment.
Hope Island Resort has gained a reputation as the super
yacht Mecca of the Gold Coast with its wide deep canals
and sheltered harbours perfect for owners of large craft.
The remaining waterfront allotments within Hope Island
Resort are expected to sell quickly.
Mr Small said in addition to the strong demand for waterfront
land sales had also been strong for the resort’s
variety of build product.
“We have waterfront duplex apartments in a ground
floor/first floor configuration with spectacular views
across the waters of Lake Lugano to the golf course priced
for $845,000 and we have freestanding homes on dry lots
within Gracemere and they are all in strong demand,” he
said.
“They are priced from $715,000.
“The market may have pulled back from its peak,
but sales rates are still strong, prices and being maintained
or increasing slightly and purchasers now realize that
supply is finite.”
