The Lakes - Personal luxury at its best
The simplicity and understated home design at The Lakes at
Hope Island Resort means purchasers can tailor their lifestyles
and create the theme of their choice throughout their new
home.
Providing some inspiration at The Lakes are four new display
homes recently produced by Marilyn Small and Shiela Malvenan
of leading Gold Coast interior designer company, Design Details.
Design Details’ Marilyn Small said they set out to create
a new look for the displays that would compliment the unique
architecture at The Lakes.
"We wanted to create a timeless, clean and contemporary
feel without being too minimal," said Marilyn. "Our
aim was to maintain a contemporary style throughout the estate
while still leaving room for individuals’ personal tastes
to shine through in their homes."
Marilyn said there are four distinct interior schemes featured
in each of the display homes.
"These include Zen, Plantation, Contemporary and Urban.
Each are quite different in colour and the names of the schemes
reflect the colour palette," she said. "The furnishings
for each of the four displays have been selected with these
schemes in mind."
Other features include imported Smeg appliances, quality granite
and stone tops in the kitchen and bathrooms, custom-designed
joinery, spacious outdoor patio, double garages with golf
buggy spaces and fully-ducted airconditioning throughout.
