About
Peter
Originally from Montreal Canada, Peter began his career
as a golf coach in 1987 working with Club Med resorts in Tunisia,
Spain, France and Bali. Duties included conducting golf clinics
on the full swing, short game, golf demonstrations and the organisation
of golf excursions to local golf clubs. In his final year working
for Club Med Peter was placed as Responsible of the Golf School
in Bali gaining experience in golf management through the training
of golf instructors, organising lesson schedules, tournaments, golf
demonstrations, excursions and golf course modification at the resort.
In 1989 Peter relocated to Brisbane Australia, serving for thirteen
years at Aspley Pin High Golf Club. There he conducted beginner
and advanced clinics, junior classes, private coaching and pioneered
the use of computer swing analysis in Brisbane.
In April 2002 Peter was appointed Head Golf Professional at Hope
Island Golf Club and Resort, rated Australia's No.1 Resort Golf
Club.
Peter has a "AAA" ranking by the Australian PGA. Also
in January 2000 Peter attained Level VI Accreditation in the category
of Golf Coaching (professional) by the PGA Professional Development
Program, in association with The Australian Coaching Council.
Technology has played a key role in Peter's coaching as he specialises
in Computer Swing Analysis. The use of digital video for super clear
frame by frame pictures and the ability to compare swings has made
it much easier to understand the golf swing.
"To achieve your goals in golf you need a plan, good coaching,
and understand the mechanics of the swing. You must get a clear
image of the fundamentals through video analysis, swing comparison,
and have the ability to correct your own swing under pressure. with
practice and more practice, it all becomes much easier."
